If you are looking to mount the wiper motors in the stock location then look at what some of the early ford guys do as those mount over the windshield as well..

Try these guys . They don't specifically list one for a '46, but do show '50-'56.
My bet is that if they don't show a specific version, there's one that could fit. Then there are these folks which are what I'm using on my '31. Simple and compact tho I did have to resolder a joint on mine, appear to be well made. Dave W |

thanks for the replies. i measured everything and found what i hope i will need at honest charlie's speed shop. i called them today (helluva decent guy on the phone) and ordered all the weird stuff and hope it will work.
looks like: 6 to 8 inch adjustable wiper arms 9 inch wiper blades 2 universal motors with built in switches. considering what i've been thru, i might take some pictures and post them here. i've seen guys with studebaker trucks, as well as a very few internationals that have fixed them up, so maybe a resource for us with "oddball" equipment might could use the info. wife and i went to D.C. last year for vacation, and are thinking about niagara falls in a couple of weeks. this time i want to go with working wipers and a new seal around the crank out winshield (a blessing with no a/c).
