Wire guage for 50 amp fuse

I noticed a commercial wiring kit came with a fuse panel (50 amp capacity) being fed by a 10 guage wire. In the AC world a 10 guage wire is rated at 30 amps. Will a 10 guage wire handle more amps if it is 12 Volt DC?

I use a chart that you reference the amps and length of wire. For 50 amp 12 volt it recommends:

3' 16 ga
5' 14 ga
7' 12 ga
15' 10 ga
25' 8 ga

Hope this helps...
Ryan

My application will be well under the 15' mark so I guess I am good to go.

Thanks
