why not just wire the receptacle you need for the welder to the main line coming from the breaker box and wire the air compressor into the back of that and not even have the dryer outlet? the A/C would have power and you could plug in the welder with out making a custom extension cord?
i think he already bought the dryer cord for the compressor
and already has the matching dryer outlet
so, why not, i guess
