wiring basics

hi

iv searched through this forum and in the knowledge base, but cant find anything on wiring basics.
If anyone can post something or a website.
I just want to know things like do you have to use certain gauge wire for certain things, and fuses what kinds and where.
Im not wiring my car just yet but would like to get an idea of it, to learn.
Thanks
Rocky

Wow - that's a cool PDF File, Willys36.

Here's a detailed web site with more to read than you'll want!
Basic Automotive Electricity

I read all kinds of stuff ... bought this book and read it (it's a good one):
How to Do Electrical Systems - by Skip Readio

But NOTHING taught me more than doing the EZ-Wire Install on my truck. After that, I had a good understanding going on ... then, reading stuff at MadElectrical.com put me to another level still!

PS - Asking questions here will get you real far, too!
