my unilite distributor has left me stranded 2 times in 5 years . It seems to last 2 1/2 years in my stang .
I have the spike unit , and the ballast resistor installed to protect it .
Just went bad a few days ago , and im looking on the net for others opinions on the ignition myself .
I see alot of people complaining about it . Im not thinking Im going to spend 110.00 for the replacement module at the local speed shop .
I took the module apart to diagnose it , and theres about 3.00 worth of electronics in there . Theres no reason for the high price they charge .
I found the bad relay on the board , unsoldered it , and went to the local electronics store to buy one . Only way I could buy the relay was if I bought in quantity . 500 piece box 1.85 each .
So .... im now thinking of MSD . But .... they have the same problems !!!! I've seen more complaints about MSD than anyone . Hell , even Nascar keeps a spare box in the car with a toggle switch ready
So what does a guy buy ??
