Wiring a HO 5.0

Since I went through it all I figured I'd share. It's in a truck so things would be different but there is lots of good info here

http://www.rcrc4x4.com/TechReports/M...ine/engine.htm

And the reduced wiring diagrams here
http://www.rivercityrockcrawlers.com...ing/wiring.htm

BUT I reference where I got the full size wiring diagrams for like $7 in the top article in case you want to reinvent the wheel. It is actually quite easy using the stock ford wiring harness. It comes to 3 plugs and each plug has about 2 wires. One is for the fuel pump and the others are for.. who knows but it runs great

I have about 5000 miles on my 5.0 since the swap so it works..

I know the numbers don't match a chevy but 300 ft-lbs torque and 230 hp isn't too bad in a light vehicle.
