wiring ignition switch in a 54 chevy

54 chevy special 150 original 6v point system

Want to wire in a conventional universal ignition switch

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRF-80529/

http://static.summitracing.com/globa.../prf-80529.pdf

All wiring diagrams I find incorporate a seperate starter button.

This should be really simple but I'm stumped...

here is a link to the stock wiring:

Please paint a picture as I do not do schematic well.

Thanx in advance

why would you want an ugly ignition switch when you don't have to? www.chevsofthe40s.com sells reproductions of the original '53/'54 switch. you would need the switch and a tumbler/ key but togther would cost less than that painless switch.. http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/detail/...INAL_FOR_.html

if you have an original switch that worked with 6v, it will still work with 12v and you won't need to worry about it
