wiring my engine to fire

I have a 67 CMC that has had an 82 350 with HEI transplanted into it. The wiring is completely different from the inline 6 to this small block. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for and 82 engine with HEI and no power accesories? I just need it wired so I can fire it for the first time

wiring

first you will need to find the wiring for the dist and by pass the ballast resistor or resistor whire so you get 12volts to the dist with the key on. then you will need to run the starter wires to the starter and make so when the key is in the run position that wire goes to the s terminal on the start. and i am not sure what kind of alt was on it before so i am not sure if it will just plug in or if you will have to convert the old external reg to an internal reg you can tell by what the conetor looks like if it is the same just plug it in. otherwise someone else will help you to wire that

Pretty basic, or you could do it like a race car with buttone and switches.

Other than stripping the resister wire back to get 12 volts, it is the same wires that you had for the 6. If you are using the internal regulated alternator, you just bypass the external regulator, by joining the 2 red wires on the old regulator together. That bypasses it.

The dist. wire needs to come from the fuse block Ing. terminal.

Thanks for the info guys . But does anyone have a pic of how this would be wired? I would be able to understand this a lot more if I had a diagram to go by. Electrical isn't my strong point . I am hoping to wire this truck this weekend
