Ive been into it for years and there is more and more women involved in it which is great to see.
My Dad was into it and passed it down. And now I have passed it down to my daughter and son.
My husband is not into it but supports my love of all things motorised. Which is great because I do it all myself for the most part and I'm happiest that way.
What more could you ask for.
My current project is a 1937 olds.

Man I thought this thread was dead months ago with not one woman replying and low and behold a woman answered! That's great I thought at first the women on here may have been a little intimidated by the big majority of men on here I had 1 private message that said she wouldn't post on the thread. Your better half must really be proud of you for your auto knowledge! My wife And I'm guessing other members wives don't join because we answer their questions LOL and this isn't really what I would call a family sight LOL but I knew there were women out there in the auto hobby and trades that's husbands or boy friends were not mechanically inclined on here!

I'm "HELPING" my wife on her 79 Camaro build!!!!

Jester

I like the bow on the skull Nice pics in your album

I'm guessing thats why the old guy from across the road snuck over and bolted to brass balls to the back of the bumper on my truck.
I dont think I could stop being into them if someone held a gun to my head so I'm used to hearin ***** from guys all the time.No matter. When they get to know me I think they just think I'm one of the guys anyway....just different parts.

Janice you missed a opportunity here. Just make a little sign that says,

" Neighbor's. Who's next? "
with a arrow pointing down and place it above the offending Huevos and just sit back and smile.
Never pass up a opportunity.

Dont really need a collection of them.I kept stopping to see what the "rattling" noise was.......thaught something was loose on my truck lol

Me and my neighbour are partners in rod crimes since my Dad passed. He's always happy to go god know where to get some elusive part or grab another motor/car/truck or toy.Ive dragged him to all kinds of shows, swap meets, farmers fields, ect. He loves it. He is a retired welder and if we can dream it up......we will build it. (even if we shouldnt.)
I have however had to upgrade my coveralls to fire/flame retardent

Picture "Phil" from duck dynasty, welding some brackets for my grille gaurd we were installing on my truck...... Tight quarters and a ill placed flame.I dont like the smell of burning beard......and coveralls are only flame retardent.....not flame proof. lol.
Oh well, I told him at the age of 68 its good that your still having new/first time experiences and he forgave me pretty fast and it only cost me a couple beer.
We still laugh about that to this day. He is a good teacher and a wealth of knowledge.

Who rides shot gun at shows Phil or your better half LOL? Does your better half get grease under his nails with you or just an admirer of what you can do with your hands and tools!!!

Is your rod a running chassis? What eng.? what plans you have for paint,ETC? Post some pics! I see by your plate by those brass things your in Canada There's a lot of very good people on here from Canada; Fbird , Vinnie, ETC! Maybe one or Two lives close to you? Vinnie's working on the new Godzilla movie production right now I think on Vancouver Island?, and won't be on here much for a while!
