wood bed kit
Just curious which wood bed kits you all prefere (ie. which company and type of wood). I need one for a black 70 chevy fleetside shortbed.

All the ones from after-market companies are pretty much the same. I am sure they are made by the same company. Do you want a working truck or show truck? If the former, get the basic yellow pine kit. If the latter you can get the fancy oak kit but it will require a lot of maintenance to keep it pretty. If you have a table saw, you can easily make your won kit out of any wood you want to use. Here is the first page of several in my journal on how I made the bed wood for my '53 Chevy from Ipo (Brazilian iron wood) using nothing more than my table saw and drill press.
