workin on the 47 FORD

My buddy asked me to come by and help him take the play out of the stearing box on his 47 FORD sedan. We popped the hood and I grabbed the wheel and sure enough the stearing wheel turns about a 1/4 turn before engaging the wheel/tire BUT while my buddy was looking under the hood he noticed the box was loose from the frame. It seems his Dad had changed stearing boxes but hadn't tightened up the NEW bolts. That was and EASY FIX!! We already had the car off its wheels and he told me his trans pan was smashed and leaking so we took a pan off a trans in my back yard and fixed his trans leak and installed the straight pan too.

Wow, a 2 for 1 deal. We all need friends like you to come to our garages. Wouldn't be any work left after a couple visits.

Glad thinks worked out well. I love those KISS fixes.
