Working at an auto parts 'big box' store

So, NAPA is a franchise, but I work at a store just like ImportZone (aka autozone) where everything is corporate owned, but we wear red shirts.

A guy, kinda creepy looking actually, came in who had a Cadillac with a Northstar. He went on telling me that it was not made by GM, but made by Nascar and that it won for 10 years in a row. I replied that I thought Nascar ran 358 cubic inch pushrod v8s. He said nothing, and we just kind of minded our own business after that.

But I thought that was pretty funny. Countermen aren't that stupid, sometimes customers are, too.

I work at a tire retailer, and deal with the same thing. I personally enjoy having customers educate themselves before making a purchase. But I cannot stand the people who come in and say they know more than I do because they "has the internetz."

Education is great. But having just a little knowledge can be dangerous.
