Is it worth it??

My shop has gotten too cluttered. I have a set of 2.02/1.60 462 heads. They have some bent valves. I have 4 good sets of 76cc heads(487, 487x, 441,993). I have 5 350 crankshafts, 6 sets of stock 350 rods, 3 350 blocks that need align bored, 2 stock 350 intakes, 1 cast bowtie intake, 2 sets of 305 heads(450,416), 1 305 shortblock, 1 267 long block. 3 used hydraulic cams(RV/Magnum). Would some of these items sell on ebay, or should I just sell it in a scrap pile? The 76cc heads are fine. 2 of the blocks could be honed, and align honedand run. 1 of the blocks needs a sleeve, and align honed. The 462's are needs new valves.

Is this a serious question or are you bragging?

It's a serious question. I've never been much of a salesman. I also have a 1980 Z28 I'm thinking of getting rid of. I really wanted to fool with it, but I hadn't in 2 years. It has either a 350 or 400 tranny. 373 or 411 gears I would guess, they're very low. The guy who had it just put a new engine in it about a week before the flywheel broke, then I bought it. It's a 350 with a medium cam, 993 heads, high rise intake, new Edler Carb, flowmaster type mufflers, Crager copy wheels, cereamic coated headers. The engine has a leak somewhere, but I hadn't checked where. It really runs good. I let it sit at my sisters garage for a year, and finally moved it. The battery had died, and the starter went bad. I got it cranked and drove it home. It really lights the road up. It'll smoke the tires. It actually runs better than I figured it would. I figured with the 993 heads and mild cam, it wouldn't be that great. I guess the combination of the low gears, and the shift kit, it just works well. The guy who had it before me blew the first engine up. The first engine had Darts, and a solid lift cam. I believe the car was setup to get after it. It has traction bars, low gears, and a shirt kit. The pedals have lights that you can turn on that are blue. The electric windows work. I just have no idea how much it's worth.

OKay then, it'll cost about 20 bucks to sell it on ebay, free if you don't advertise anywhere but the local free classifieds or places like here on hotrodders. Word of mouth goes pretty fast ya know. It's worth somthing but you'll never really know how much because it's only worth as much as someone is willing to give. a lot of that depends on what he/she is working on and what time of year it is. A restorer might give $200 for you 462's but I won't give you $10 bucks. I like your ride, but a Ford guy wouldn't bother. the 993's go for around $200 to a dirt stock car team. I'd try the classifieds here on the board, and maybe Ebay, if that didn't go well. Piecing it out, you might get a grand for it all. Without your ride.

I would check the ads to see what comparable rides are going for in your area..As far as the parts are concerned it is what one can get..Sometimes not much as one is buying a grab bag of stuff and it may have cracks or something that render them unusable..If they are checked out and clean they are worth a bit more..up to you if you want to have them dunked and magnafluxed to see what you have..

I'll stop by with a big trailer, and you just load all that stuff, even that old car, onto it and I'll help you clean out the shop. LOL

I hate to get rid of the car, cause I know one day it could be worth something just because of how many of them have been destroyed for dirt racing over the last 25 years. When I worked at a body shop in high school, 1958 Impalas were a hot commodity because not as many were sold as the 55'2, 56's, and 57's.
