The 7.5" s-10/ Camaro rears are plenty strong for street duty when set up correctly and not already warn out from way too many miles. Never use a locking rear or spool in these 7.5" rears. The aftermarket Auburn limit slip is goof proof. So is the Eatons Posi. The best quality new gears for this rear end and all other GM rear ends are the genuine GM ring and pinions. You get these from a GM parts dealer. You get what you pay for. Some of the old 4 cylinder S-10's came with 4.10 gears. If you can find these in good used condition in the wreckers they are a premium higher quality HD gear set.
