Worth the change?

I was just looking for some advice, I have an 8.2 10bolt with 3.08 gears, and was wondering is it worth it to put 3.73's in it or wait untill spring carlise and look for a 12 bolt w/ maybe 3.55 or 3.73's? also would the change to 3.73 be a big noticeable difference? The car has a sbc 350 nothing wild, 650 edelbrock carb,an older streetmaster intake, double hump heads, headers. And a m-20 transmission. I'm also running 15" tires. I'm looking for a little more torque. I dont race,so thats not an issue. By the way its a 69 Camaro, plain jane. Thanks .

You will defiantly "feel" the difference with 3.55 or 3.73 gear. If it were me with your mild set up I would use a 3.55 gear and just use your 8.2. Esp if you consider how high fuel is getting! just my .02

3.55's will give the best results of both mileage AND acceleration from a stop.
