Cool

Car Craft magazine just featured a '67 (maybe '69, correct me if I'm wrong!!) Camaro with a Caddy 509 in it. If you haven't seen it, you should really check it out!
The other interesting car that I saw, I'm not even sure what year it was. Could have been something like a '32 Ford though. Anyway, the guy had dropped a twin-cam Lexus engine in it. Looked pretty cool, but I'm not sure what kind of performance he had on it.
My friend and I were thinking at one point of putting my Mopar 440 into a Mazda 323. Now there would have been a wierd combo !!!!!

In 1970 I met a guy that was building an "A" Delivery with a 427 mid-engine and keeping the stock engine under the hood for looks. I moved and don't know if it was ever finished but talk about show and go!!

How about a maxed-out Buick straigh-8 flathead? Used to be a real terror on the salt flats in the 30s and 40s.

A 414" V-12 out of a Lincoln K model would be slick. Those flat 12's have great eye appeal. slip that into a highboy glass body with 6 deuces staggered. Everything would have to be custom fabricated, but talk about cool!

I have seen several Porsche 911's with aluminum SBC's running in the Porsce body, so I conclude that either the rotation of the SBC was reversed or the natural rotation of the SBC and the 911 are reverse of one another, buecause the SBC has to go into the 911's transaxle with the flywheel facing the front of the vehicle.

As far as using the 911 motor in a rod, I think it would be a problem unless it was mounted transaxle and all in the rear of the rod rather than up front. It could be mounted up front, but would have the fan facing toward the rear and cooling would be difficult to work out in the engine compartment. They are partially oil cooled, but if you break a fan belt on one, you have about 60 seconds before you are overheated, so air supply is critical.

I would tell you a couple of light V8 engines but I think getting them over to the states would be too much trouble. But one you should be able to find allready there is the Rover V8
