Would roller lifters work without a roller cam?

Ive been wondering for a while if roller lifters would work without a roller cam. What cam would the roller lifters work best with besides a roller cam, if they work at all? Thanks, demon.

No you cannot use roller lifters on a non-roller cam, they are incompatable for several reasons beyond just the lobe shape, not the least of which is the valve timing events will come out incorrect by an extremely large margin. The engine will run terrible, followed a short time later by lifter or cam failure due to their incompatability.
