I have a 77 Bandit Trans am that is in very good condition and a guy I know wants to buy it. I have been thinking about buying a 70 Mercury Cougar. Do you guys think it would be wise to sell the Trans am and buy the cougar?
depends on a lot of things. like: the condition of your T/A, the condition of the cougar, Engines, trannies, interior, do you like the colour??, do you want a cougar? Do you want to keep the T/A? so to recap: it depends
If the T/A is original and in good condition you can get some good money for it.Look on e-bay to see what they go for before you agree on a price.I only say this because I don't know how much you know about the vehicles worth.By the way,I'd sell the T/A and get an early '70's Formula or T/A if you can find one. i like the looks of the cougar styling in those years, and the cougar would definatly be the more unique choice, cause there aren't a lot of them out there. i'd get a cougar over a trans-am just because they're less ordinary, but that's just me...
I owned a 71 Cougar had a blast with it. Does the one your looking at have the 351C engine? That's a good motor to work with if it does!
I would also have to agree with the previous post regarding it depends on condition and what YOU like. You'll be driving it so like it was said in the earlier post, it depends.
if i didnt have so many projects id be interested in the t/a and as others have said "drive and build what you like"
