the body work on that thing would be an absolute bish. It looks like it might clean up, but surface rust can be deceiving because you're only really getting a two dimensional picture of a three dimensional problem...
nah, its pretty rough all the way around. that car needs a new.... everything.
I think you'd be better off finding a car that costs a few more bucks to start with that has a crappy paint job but very little rust and all the trim, and an interior that's not destroyed. Makes for an easier project. A few more bucks at the beginning is goign to save you thousands in the long run!

thats well said, i would only consider it if you were planning on a complete rebuild. and if thats the case i think you should try to get the price down under a grand
RUST! oh no, They want to much for it. You would have to take it and have it sand blasted just to see all the bad spots. I'm thing $800 - $1000
But I cant see everthing so all I can say it check out the rust and pitting with a screw driver if you poking holes in the floor trunk frame it just all the stuff you will have to fix. so go over it with a fine tooth comb.
GTO's were built on this platform, it could be a real head turner if you do it right. I agree with what has been said, try to git-r-down so you can git-r-done. $500. to $800. sounds about right.
$1,500.00 dosen't sound bad. Here in Michigan that would be considered a very solid car. Not much good stuff left around here. That would make a nice GTO clone.
Bob
As Bob C said, around here that would be considered pretty solid as the salt used in the winter has turned pretty much every vehicle over 20 years old to dust or a bondo'd abomination.
It would sure make for a very sweet ride fixed up though
well i decided not to purchase the car, to much work and i dont have my shop built yet... and the good news my dad said he would sell me his 1961 biscayne 2door post car-- rebuilt 350/4speed car for $2000 ill post some pics as soon as i can...
