wow 8.8 better than i thought
wow 8.8 better than i thought
after doing a small amount of homework (not having much time he was selling it 50 bucks and had to get there before some else did) i bought an 8.8 out of a 93 explorer (31 spline 327 traclok) off of craigslist thinking it would be a good tempoary axle until i could afford to build a 9" now after doing a lot more home work i think this axle is going to stay for a long time is anyone else using this rearend Last edited by matts37chev; 02-02-2009 at 12:41 PM. |

yup, ive learned it is very close to 12 bolt in size and when it comes to axle size, the 28 spline is a little smaller, and 31 spline is a little bigger than the 12 bolts axles
i didnt realize it was that good when i bought it. i just knew a lot of the jeep guys were using them and of course the newer mustangs had them and they some can hand out some abuse its a hair wider than what i wanted (59 1/2") because i read that i wanted 58" but i can work with that |
