Wrong ball joints

My brother called me from the turkey run this week and said that some of the vendors were saying that some of the after market front end kits were using the wrong ball joints on the kits .This came to his attain be cause the shop that did the setting on my front end said the joints were to small . I told him to do the best he could because I would not be driving much as I had to go back to work for 4-5 months and I would research this but had forgot until brother called .Has any one run in to this?

I read a article in the STREET RODDER mag. last week its seems they had found the same problem at one of the safety inspection stations. It seems some of the company's selling after market tubular a arms are using the upper joints in the top and bottom when the bottom should have a load joint in it so if like my self and a lot of others bought there front end kits at a show or one of the after market company's beware.
