X cab or STD cab for Rod project?
As some may have read on a thread I put in the lounge. I'm going to take an S10 or Ranger, cut the cowl off ( leaving firewall ), remove front sheetetal and bed. construct 30's style cowl, extend roof over the A and B pillar 'mounts' for vertical pillars and flat glass .. and add a stake bed and build a truck reminescent of the 30's... originally I thought an X cab with filled in rear windows ( reconstructed rear window of course ) and a rake would look good, but I'v found a '92 S10 Reg cab 5spd thats right priced and thinking, Reg cab might be better.. I know for it to fit my vision, it will almost have to have the Rake.. should I hold out for the X cab or settle on the Reg cab?
