Pervert, huh?
Well, kenseth17, I hired Elvira, mistress of the dark to sort errant drill bits and nuts and bolts.

Of course when sorting those kind of things size is a consideration. So when I told her that the 1/4 x 1 1/2" bolt she was holding was really 4" x 10", that bit of disinformation will be appreciated by SOMEONE...

(I hid the tape measures in MY house a long time ago )

Later, mikey

Pixelchik, I like what you did to this 38 in your pic.

The backdrop is there, but doesn't detract from the car. Cool

Holy crap, I didn't mean for it to get as big as the sky

When did you start hiding that tape measure mikey? I thought you just bought ones in mm, and relabed them as inches. If you get some good Wisconsin pisswater beer in someone they won't remember size so much, heck they may even see two for that matter.
Stick around pixel, these old farts on here will give you a lot of information to help you learn more about cars. I had no one in my family that really was as interested in working on cars as I was, but had neighbors that did, one built some pretty nice hotrods and I would try to see what they were up to once in awhile. When I painted an old cougar back in tech school, the first guy I took it to to show it off to was the neighbor that built the old 30-40's hot rods. I still don't know hardly anything compared to the knowledge on this site. Some day maybe I will get to build something for myself. Good cars were so much cheaper and plentiful though if I would of picked something when I was younger. If only money and time grew on trees. Keep snapping away. Good art is appreciated as much as building up an engine or laying in bondo dust and spraying on a new paint job. Maybe soon your art will be in the soul of gilroy adorning the walls of powerrods shop. I too like that photo powerrods posted with the blured background. In the good old days it was done by lowering the f stop, not real up on these digital cameras. Mine I just point and click and look to see how bad of a pic I took.

Hey--First time I saw that pic (in your intro I think), I thought it was pretty cool.
Kinda watercolory, if ya get my drift.

(how can you have a "Central Coast" on a friggin island )

Central coast over here is pretty much California.
And to the Californians---Ventura to SanFrancisco.

Bryan

Why is evevryone teasing about Casandra Peterson? I saw her in person at a car show once signing autographs. She apparently worked cheap, so hiring her to work in your shop might be possible now.

Kenseth17 invocation of Elvira's name is a referral a post of mine in the "reasons revealed" thread started by classix_lover.
reason revealed

That " Elvira" is really a 22 year old friend of my daughters. Her real name is Lauren. I call her that because she dyed her blond hair black, uses enough black makeup to undercoat 5 cars and has adopted some kind of depressing gothic dress code and philosophy of inescapable doom, gloom and dispairity. In stock form she is a very pretty girl. I hired her while she was between jobs. She has since gone on to better things.

I think the real Elvira is still a hottie I don't care if she is leaning hard on 60 years old.(70??) She could sort wayward fasteners and cutting tools in my shop all day. Did you guys know that she was not the first? There was some chick named "Vampira" who had a show on TV in the late 50's. Same getup and routine. Vampira actually sued Elvira for being some kind of copycat. I guess Elvira won. Lucky for us.

I'll bet she already knows about kenseths metric/inch measurement system flim flam though. (good idea, ken. I would have never thought of that. )

It doesn't matter anyway. I have a wife who says she loves me. IN SPITE of the fact that I need a magnifying glass AND a mirror. .....To see my .....toes.
Why would I want to mess that up.

You have the right attitude, pixelchik. Endeavour to persevere.
I'll hang some of your pics on the wall at the shop. Just because.

Later, mikey
