The shame was, it was a super original car in very nice shape and he had me paint it complete in lacquer.

That is too bad.

I always wonder what they did with the extra parts. Ford won't ship an incomplete vehicle, so what did they do with the extra hoods etc.?

They sold them off as "new car take offs" I assume. Like the companies that install utility boxes on pickups. They sell off the perfect, painted stock beds they take off.

I worked for Yenko back in the early 70's, they were actually a neighbor. I got the first prototype stinger in '64. It basically had the turbo and suspension modified, and they added a 2 bbl side draft carb. It would do 0-60 in 6 sec and would whoop the 289 Mustang GT's. I sold the car and bought it back 3 different times. Good memories there.......
