Yet another electrical question on a Motorcycle I may buy

Hi I am looking at an early 80's yamaha 250 motorcycle, the one problem is it has no spark, I havent gone to look at it yet and am just curious as to what any of you think it may be and a worst case scenario what it could cost to fix it, I dont like getting into anything that I can hear run but dont want to pass up a good deal when it arises. It is just a road bike used to get to and from places and worst case scenario I will just fix it myself when school starts in august, any tips are appreciated.

Thanks,
Jogin
