Yet Another Member w/pic of my ride

Greetings rodders,

I'm brand new to the board, been tinkering with cars and trying to make them faster or more fun to drive since I was a kid. Right now I've got a mildly built 0.060"-over 283 in an '86 Firebird and I've just ordered a Tremec 5-spd for it.

I've got a 350 on the stand to go in the car but I've been holding off completing the build until I have a real transmission in the car. Currently it is the T5 that was behind the original V6 and I know it's not up to the job.

I live in Edmonton, AB Canada so the car will be parked for the winter very soon and the transmission will have to go under the Christmas tree for now, into the car in spring.

I will start off by poking around the transmission section of the message board, trying to identify a C6 transmission by the pan. I need the slip yoke to work with the new gearbox next spring.
