can someone please tell me what sort of drivetrain you would find on big vans such as the chevy van 20's , van dura's , and other gm trucks simillar .

they are very common at scrap metal , and i am wondering what stuff they have that's worthwhile . i already know they come with 305's , 350's , but what transmission's / what are their rear end's geared at ?

my friend hopes that one of em is gearing round 3.73 , so he could use it for his malibu .

Also , what kinda stuff should people like me and my friend look for at scrapyards . what are the "jewels in the rough " ???

Me and my friend , both 17 years old , know quite a bit , but if you scored something nice that was hidden at scrap , or know about the rear end on heavier duty gm vehicules, we would really appreciate .

oh yeah , and it would help us beat rice too !

My 1 one ton had a chev 350 engine hooked to a 350 auto trans. It worked great hauling carpet.
