The most expensive purchase I have made so far for any of my vehicles is my 2 4 barrel carb setup. If I decide to dump the T10 this summer and put in a WC T5 or a Tremec that will then be the most expensive thing on my car.

I bit the bullet and bought a disc brake conversion kit, frontend kit, rear bushing kit , new top, carpet, rear seat cover, window fuzzies, and a few other misc. items at once and spent about $2300. The disc brake kit was the largest chunk of the dollars spent.

The sad part for me is I can name most of the expensive parts I've ever bought I guess its not too bad at 17

*Accel Ignition

*2 Edelbrock carbs 600cfm and a 750

*Edelbrock Performer intake

*B&M Stage 2 shift Kit

*And here is the most expensive thing I've ever bought for my car...Pioneer 9500 Cd/Mp3 player $1100, it is nice though (I'm a compulsive buyer and I was mad at my parents so I spent all of my 173hours of work on it)

Biggest chunk of money I've put out for my POS was $1950 for a narrowed 9" rear w/locker, 3.50 gears, Moser 31 spline axles, SSM lift bars, slotting the lift bar spring pads for the different U bolt pattern, redrilled brake drums, all brake hardware, ARP wheel studs, and installation of above in my PU.

biggest expense fo far

My 377 stroked 350sbc. I don't know about a blower on a car that do's most its time on the street. I don't plan to race all that much and still running low compression, maybe a 100hp hit of nitrous oxide just for laughs. LOL LOL

The most that I ever spent at once on my hot rods, was $500 for 2 front fenders for my truck. I spend as little as possible by buying a bit at a time and doing everthing myself.

Radiator $110
C5 auto rebuild bench job $400
Auto Meter Ultra Lite Tach 10k/rpm $90

Transmission Fluid $60 (I've tried 3 different trannys so far with no luck)
Hedman Long Tube Headers $90
Duraspark Ignition Module $35

Hoses $25
Trans. Mount $15
Eng. Mount Frame Brackets $120
Engine Mounts $30
Misc. Gaskets, Seals, Wires, Bolts, Etc ~$80

Aproximate Total $ 2,179

Holy cow, I had no idea it was that high already.

All I need left is to run exhaust, new fuel lines, fuel cell, manual steering conversion, new wheels/tires, rust repair, body work, paint. Hmmmmm I guess about another 4 grand and about 2 years and I should actually be able to call it a car. Till then, it's just my favorite drinking seat in the garage.
