Another battle in Washington D.C. that should concern every American is the battle for the chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee that will screen all the President's nominees to fill both the Supreme Court and the ninety plus judicial vacancies across the nation.
Here it is in a nutshell. Last week, Senator Arlen Specter, threatened President Bush verbally by stating to the press the President should not send any conservative judges before his committee.
Senator Specter's arrogance is boundless! First, he has not yet been appointed Chairman of the Judiciary Committee. Secondly, America voted on Tuesday for President Bush's re-election and this arrogant senator a few hours later starts telling the President through the press what he should and should not do.
What can you do about it? Plenty! I urge every one of you to call your senator and ask him or her to use their influence to block Senator Specter's nomination as the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee.
America desperately needs conservative judges who will not try to rewrite the Constitution of The United States from the bench. George Bush has the opportunity to change the course of American history by appointing conservative judges...but the opportunity will be missed if Senator Arlen Specter becomes chairman of the committee that receives the nominations of prospective judges from the president.
Again, call, fax or e-mail your senator and ask them to block the nomination of Senator Arlen Specter from the chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee. God bless you for standing up for America and the Constitution that protects our rights as citizens.
