Your Security

I found a terrific little tool for those who would like to test the security of their system. Sorry folks, only for NT based OS'es. ie... NT4, WIN2000, XP Pro/Home etc.

Microsoft Baseline Security Scanner

Invaluable information about your own computer and...remote IP's also.

The possibilities for abuse boggle the imagination so use it wisely. String it through a couple of anon proxies and suddenly your Mr. Hacker!, courtesy of ol Bill himself!

Cool hey!

Use the download to protect yourself and examine your system, very effective tool in the right hands.

I no speak computa language.

Where's the "Any" key?

The new instant on button built into the monitors these days sure works well, turn it back on and...poof! The computer is instantly back on...already logged in!...technology is amazing.

When I cut and paste why don't the pieces of paper get put into my post? My screen is starting to get cluttered and it's getting hard to see what I'm doing?

I bought some floppys today but they don't fit into the slot on the computer? how come? Can I fold them? I folded one and it fit kinda poorly but I managed to jam it in there...it still doesn't work? What am I doing wrong?

I read on a website that you could clean your keyboard in the shower so I tried it (there was a lot of sticky stuff on it) and now half the keys don't work, can I spray it with something to make it work? I tried paint thinner but it just took the lettering off the keys and made them sticky?

Every time I kick the power bar the computer shuts off and I have to turn it back on all the time to get the computer to work, can you fix it so that the computer does not shut off when this happens?

My laptop had a message popup saying it needed to recharge so I shut it off. I keep checking it and it still hasn't recharged itself and now it won't even start! Why won't it recharge? I put it into a warm place and unplugged all the wires?

Can you make my computer look like a toaster? I saw a computer that looked like a toaster and I really liked it, the sales guy said they were as easy to use as a toaster too. Do they make the toaster computers with the big slots so I can use my floppies?
