Post You're Not Going to Believe It

I was watching HotRodTv last night and there was a feature on a Ford Focus with a 302 and Mustang rear end. It looked stock from the outside but had a rearwheel drive 302 V-8. I was weird watching this thing drive down the road sounding like a strong V-8 with duals. I did not here if they did any performance tests but I bet it moves out pretty good. The project required a lot of engineeriing and took 9 months to complete. They had to rebuild the entire undercarraige.

Guess it goes to show you can do just about anything as long as you have money, time and some knowledge.

Anything can be done, but I like to spend as little money as I can to get the desired results (I'm cheap! ). I guess I don't see spending all that money and all that time reengineering stuff when you can buy a "cool" car and sink the extra money into performance parts. Just my two cents though.

anyway, i still waiting for SOMEBODY to stuff a 426 blown hemile projectile into a prowler or a cruiser with big fat meats. fat tires on the back would make a p/t cruiser look really trick! even tho you know they dont do anything. hey, wheres that kid with the computer animator? yo! and where's that guy that was baggin on chevy motors in fords? here's what they should really be puttin in them, even tho i'm a die hard sbc fan, STUFF A HEMI IN IT!

SINCE we're here; we have a member here that won a dodge stratus from Hot Rod Magazine that was turned into a rear wheel drive and was spozed to have nitrous and a zillion other parts and when he got the car it had been stripped!! and hrm told him to get screwed!!!! we need to send HRM a letter bomb? email me if you care, i'll give you his name, he needs all the help he can get. he's hired a lawyer and is suing them tho. good luck!

thankyou bullheimer for that comment,i design alot of one of a kind stuffs and not just for street rods. the crossfire cap was invented here and somwhere eles too. this cap is prettier and we have two designs, works differently too. i even have a heating system that heats our garage 2500 square feet for a doller a 24hr day
seems like someone would be cranking out ptc rear wheel chassis kit type hotrods
i got hammered like your buddy once didn't do anything about it. it wasn't that severe though
thanks

If I remember right, there is a company in Cali that is making PT Cruisers with 426 Hemi's in them. I can't think of the name, but I'll post it if I can find it. If memory serves me, I think that they were going for over $40,000. Like I said, I can't really remember so don't quote me on that.

A PT with a Hemi has got to be cool (pricey but cool).

A Focus with a V8 would still look like a Focus though. I must be getting old, but I just can't fall in love with that look.

I knew there was a reason I dumped Hot Rod (aside from the fact that everything in the mag was slammed to the ground). Do they actually drive those things? Yup, I am old. Highboys suit me just fine.
