Z06 engine

Hey guys I work for an insurance company and we had to buy a 2007 z06 corvette engine and since it threw a rod on left side. They said the piston hit a valve and messed up that head and block. Anyway they said I can have it if I want it. Does anyone see any value in this engine. It has 59000 miles on it.

usually when this happens the engine becomes a really nice boat anchor. if theres a hole in the block its screwed. if its just the head then you could get better heads for some big bucks. i'd throw a crate engine in it. better than buying a used corvette.

I'm sure there's got to be some salvageable parts on there that are worth some amount of money. I'd keep it and use it as the base for a glass-top coffee table.

part out the good parts. the salvagable head can fetch you some bucks on ebay or craigslist. injectors are worth a sell. crankshaft may get some money if its not scored or bent.

Now we talking. If the other head can be repaired that would be awesome to have a set of heads from a Z06. I am going to bring it home and see. Thanks
