I'm getting ready to Z my frame and channel body over frame. I have a boxed frame with a 2 inch lowered cross member and 4 inch I beam front axle. I don't want to chop the top - what would you recommend I Z the frame in the rear to have a somewhat lowered body.
That helps a lot. I was afraid I would need to do a more radical Z. By the time I channel it and with the same Z you did it will sit a lot lower. I'm also working on a 31 Tudor. I wish I had bought a chopped radiator and grill shell w/insert when I was buying parts. I imagine I will be able to sell them on EGay alright.
I'd suggest holding off on the grill shell until you get the body channeling done. You'll likely have to modify the shell to get it to line up correctly with the body.
