ZZ4 700R swap questions

I have a friend I will be helping instal a ZZ4 crate motor and 700R trans into a 56 Belair. so far I can see I need to swap to side mount motor mounts and add a trans crossmember. what about exhaust/ what headers will clear the factory steering gear? I have also found the shift linkage for the swap. what about a TV cable and an adapter to use the stock speedo cable.

I think you may have to cut the stock transmission side mounts off the frame in order to get the automatic to fit.

There are several companies that make headers for this swap but they are roughly 500-750 bucks a set. I would try a few sets of block huggers that dump at the rear, or possibly some shorties from a camaro.

Look up engine swap headers for a 55-57 belair on summit for some header options.

The SBC with a 700R4 is longer by about 4 inches. Depending on where you mount this, it's likely you'll need to shorten the drive shaft.
