This cam can work very well in a 305.
Like any performance cam it likes increased compression ratio, improved head port flow
improved intake and exhaust.

10:1 and a BBC TBI on a Performer RPM intake, Ported 305HO heads.
Long tube headers and dual exhaust. 3000 stall and 3.73+ gears
and your 305 will be a whole different motor.

Use ZZ4 springs or ZO6 LS springs and the comp 787-16 retainers.
Or a high pressure stock spring (isky 235D)

If you just stuff it in a stock TBI truck motor don't expect much.
The camshaft is the "gatekeeper" to a motor. But the rest of the motor combo has to be "on the same page"
for it to work.
