ZZ4 Oil Pan Depth

Can someone provide the dimensions of the ZZ4 oil pan? The oil pan on the engine I put in my 68 vette is too deep (9.5") and it hangs as low as the headers. Also, the steering linkage is rubbing on the front of it which is also lower than my old oil pan.

The information that I have seen on the ZZ4 indicates the oil pan is probably no different than your Vette. There is however another version of the ZZ4 called the "limited late model" for circle track racing. It has what GM Performance parts calls an 8 quart "kick out" oil pan that may be of some use to you. Probaly you can buy an aftermarket oil pan cheaper though.
