Description: How to use and make a shrinking disc. Details include: bumping dent up using a ball-peen hammer, smoothing bumps made by hammer with hammer and dolly, running the shrinking disc over the surface to show any irregularities, repeating the process, smoothing stretched lumps with a slapper, using shrinking disc to highlight lumps made by slapper, and continuing the process until all irregularities are smoothed out. Also includes example of shaping with a curved shrinking disc, making your own shrinking disc using 18 gauge stainless or cold rolled steel (heating, using shrinker, smoothing wrinkles made by shrinker, stretching any contours, using a pipe and hammer to form center depression, and using a straight rule to ensure disc runs true). Includes photographs of each step.
