Part 6: The Door

I knew before anything else that I wanted shaved door handles, so I went at it.

First, I made a pattern out of cardboard. When I was happy with the size and fit, I transferred the pattern over to sheet metal. I removed the door handle and welded my plate in place. I ground everything smooth and did all of the bodywork.

I seem to like doing everything twice, so since I have welded in the door handle plates and got all of my bodywork done (or so I thought), I now have to go back and fill in the bodyline on the door also....arrrgh!

My future plans for the doors are to finish smoothing the bodyline, suicide the doors, and add my electric solenoids to open the doors with. I will keep up the updates on these as I go on.
