Part 7: Interior

Finally, the interior was stitched up with Amethyst tweed and plum vinyl. The armrests are fabricated with Masonite and covered with fiberglass before the foam and material. Headliner flame is Masonite with foam also. The carpet is silver gray cut pile household stuff -- feels good on bare feet!

The wiring and stereo was finished up last with Pioneer, Infinity and Clarion products. The 12" subs kick my favorite tunes by Godsmack and Disturbed (but Journey and Audioslave sometimes get play time!).

I made a sign for the shows out of Plexiglas that mentions some of the modifications I made to the car.

NSRA safety inspection went well...I passed!

I did the entire car myself. I read books and studied. I practiced. Sometimes I failed, and when I did I cut it up and did it again. I encourage my students to do the same. Strive for QUALITY...not just "good enough"!

Next project: 1927 Nash boattail (with Rothian influences!).
