Got a good deal on some rims from a friend who was getting rid of his car stuff. Only 25 bucks for 11 of these rims. Cool -- I can use 5 of them on the 38 (one for a spare), I traded 2 for other car parts, and still have 4 I can trade for other stuff I may need. May not be high dollar wheels but it doesn't look bad and fits my budget just fine!

Time to clean the chassis and rust encapsulate it and then paint it chassis black. As you can see it's starting to look like something besides a rusty old piece of junk.

The old brakes looked pretty well shot upon inspecting them so they need replacing with all new parts. No scrimping here.

Here's two shots of the new brakes. New rotors, pads, bearings, etc. Wow -- it's looking good, and getting me really excited about this project! The rear brakes look good so I skip replacing them. Will have to put on all new brake lines at some point in the near future.
