Part 7: Cowl Hood

Next thing was to paint the bed. After finishing the bed I started on the custom cowl hood. Seeing how I have more time than money, and I needed a lot of clearance, I decided to build a super wide 5 inch custom cowl hood. You can see the chop work below.

This is the first time the truck saw sunlight after it was completely painted, wet sanded, buffed and assembled. Here you can see one of the only new parts I bought. I figured for $75 a new shiny chrome bumper with new air dam would be worth it. The late model grill is again an ebay special at $35. I also added a new set of mirrors and door handles, and plastic lenses to keep the truck from having that "almost finished" look.
