Part 8: Engine Internals

The engine is a .040 SBC 400. It got all the forged internals from ebay, and most of the go fast goodies including the Edelbrock Proflo, Turbo, Blow Off Valve, and Wastegate. I am running an Eagle 4340 crank, SRP pistons, Childs Albert Gapless rings, and 6 inch Pro Billet Prowler rods with 7/16 bolts. The turbo is a 76mm Garrett from an unknown diesel engine source and has a .75AR turbine and 1.0 AR Compressor. The BOV is a TurboXS 35 MM unit and the Wastegate is a Tial 38mm unit. The heads are GM 487X with mild port job by yours truly. The block got all the race prep machine work including studs top to bottom and a tall fill grout. The tall grout was an attempt to keep the thing together at the 700+ HP that I think I will be making.
