have 40 plymouth coupe all original FLH6 3 speed
have 68 chevelle chasis and drive train with 327/350 10 bolt.
will my 40 suspension handle the swap without major modifying?

It will probably be OK but you won't like the ride or handling. At a minimum you need to rebuild the suspension, replace the springs and as a matter of safety consider replacing the front brakes. The stock rear end won't handle a V8 so you'll have to change that anyway, but you'll also have to change or update your master cylinder. Always think safety first.

Just to tell you what I have done. I am running a 318 plymouth in my 47 Desoto, with stock suspension and rear end. Ran all last summer without a problem. I am updating the brakes though to disc in front using the stock master cylinder or possibly going to a dual cylinder to be on the safe side. I probably will put in a different rear end just to gain the emergency brake but the old one seemed to work fine for me last year

You should keep iyt all Mopar i would opt for a 340 or maybe a 360 outta a dakota R/T and you should pirate the suspension outta a wrecked one and use it.

But thats my opinion do what makes u happy.

Hi I have a 1939 desoto 350 V8 350 auto & 10 bolt
chev.rear end.I rebuilt the front end droped the front end (fat man ) also added disc brakes also
fat man 3" droped springs (butch rod shop)It handels very good thats 3 years ago 20,000 miles

No. I'm working on a 41 Dodge coupe right now, a Nova subframe is splice welded into the front and the wheeltrack looks right. A chevelle is a wider car with a wider wheeltrack, sounds like a misfit.

use a narrowed B-body mopar or mII for the front & a 73 B-body rear it bolts right in
