I am little bt jealous!!Sounds like a great project! I do not know first hand but years ago I ran with a guy who had a 318 and auto trans in a '41 coupe. He was no mechanical wizard but he claimed the stuff was an easy placement. Pretty close to bolt on. Some one else out there must have better dvice for you.

Put in a stock MII x-member w/ power rack & pinion. I put one in a '36 Pontiac 4dr sedan. Works great, easy to do, and cheap!

Heck of a good deal slider. Got my 38 Desoto for 700 and I thought that was great. Good deals are hard to come by but not impossible. Check your e-mail.

I'm working on a 37 Plymouth two door sedan. I put a stock Mustang II under the front and a Ford 8" in the rear. It's powered by a 318 with a 727.
My only advise is watch your floor boards! It gets really tight to get a console, gas pedal and brake in there! If you want Mopower, you might look around for a 360...same external diminsions...more cubic inches. |

Sorry you lost out on the car but wanted to respond to Phil55. I have a 37 P4 sedan that is going to be getting a 360 with 727 and an 8 3/4 rear. I have questions about mounts, cutting the firewall, and overall engine fit.
