I am restoring 56 chev. SB 350 A/T. Can't afford to go to a mustang II suspension on the frontend at this time. Plan to later on. can you buy a power steering head off a late model that will match up with the pitman arm. Bolt holes do not matter that much, I can redrill the frame.

I have all of the information you need. Start looking for a "605" gear box out of a 1980 malibu get the gear box, flex coupler (Rag joint), and all bolts, nuts and anything you dismantled from the donor car. You'll have to have aan original manual gear box (One to tear apart) I suggest keeping your original in case you decide later to re-install the manual. If you feel up to it you can also modify your steering column to tilt during this same operation just find a mid-seventies GM van with tilt column and get eveything including the neutral safety switch. This may sound involved to start off with, but I have done a couple of these conversions now and it really is not hard to do. Send me an e-mail with your mailing address and I'll put what I have in the mail for you. It really does make a difference in driving, much more fun! Good luck with your project.
