Question Drum to Disc 70 C-10

We seem to have a bad hub on the kid's pickup and the local pull-your-parts doesn't have one. So unless one of you have a good 6 lug 2WD hub I need to get some info on going to a 71/72 disc brake changeover.

The last time this was done by us many moons ago, one truck was in the yard and the other in the shop about 20 feet from each other. We just started at the frame, pulled the entire knuckle and bolted it on the older truck. Snagged all the lines, master cylinder 'n' such and swapped them out as well.

Being as we just re-did the entire front end with a PST kit, which is how we found the bad hub, does anyone have experience simply swapping the spindle instead of the whole knuckle assembly?

Whew. Thanks in advance.

i did my 70 and used 80 spindles..also had to use the 80 steering linkage, calipers and hoses..used 71/72 balljoints..so youll at least have to replace the ball joints and tie rods
