Does anyone offer templates for cutting out the frame on a `55-59 Chevy Truck to weld in a volare front suspension?

did one on a Ford and only needed a few notches cut, they were very evident once we slid the suspension unit under the frame. made a good setup but had to adjust ride height.

I saw one in progress and the guy had to narrow the 4" frame channel down to 3" to accept the Volare unit. He cut from the top of the frame channel ( the top part of the "c" shape) and just started back of where the new unit goes in and made a nice gentle sloping cut downward until it became 3".The starting point is not critical. He then welded a new piece of metal the same width, replacing the top of the channel. He also boxed the frame from the new Volare unit back some toward the rear of the truck for added strength. He did this on a bare frame (cab off) but I'm sure it could be done with the front end stripped back to the cab. One advantage of the Volare is that you can retain the original frame all the way to the front. It also has some height adjustment.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW more about building motor mounts for this upgrade. How does one know where to position etc. Someone said mount the engine off center 1 1/2" toward the pass. side to allow more room for exhaust around the steering box.
ALSO what headers to use? for a 350 engine.
