Post 40 Ford truck chassis specs

I recently aquired a very rusty version of a 40 Ford truck. THe body is bad ,but the frame is worse. It is rusted completly through in four different spots. Is there someone out there that can supply me with chassis specs so I can determine if I can run another, more modern frame/suspension under this body? I may have a lead on a 40 Ford Panel truck (I believe same frame) would I be better off getting this frame and grafting a front clip on it? I appreciate any help.

Man, if that panel truck is better than the pickup, build it!
Regarding the frame, all 40's (passenger cars and 1/2 ton pickups, panels, sedan deliveries, & woodie wagons) use the same basic frame. The differences arise concerning the stamped body support "boxes" at the midsection and towrd the rear of the frame on the outside. Different frames use different supports at different places.
Make sure you have the possible makings of a vehicle before you spend too much of your expendable money! Many a guy has spent a small pile of cash and found that his dream of building that piece was overshadowed by the reality of an honest bodyman telling him to throw it in the dump.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Yea, I got 'em. I'll email to you at your address in your profile.
35 - 40 car, 35 - 41 pu the same, w/ the exception of body mount tabs on cars.
There was a company in florida a few years ago that was building fiberglass 35 ford pu replicas that i believe was using ranger pu frames w/ some minor modifications I've heard of s10 frames being used, but I understand they are weaker.
