Hi all,

I have a 1952 Chevy Sedan Delivery that has had a 500 ci Motor W/ Automatic Trans. put in to it and no other upgrades that I can see.

This is my first project car. I am looking to use it as a driver and I am not hard on vehicals (My 1990 work van has 382,000 miles on it) - I just want to ride in style and turn a few heads.

I am looking for sugestions - I am thinking about a MSII front end kit.

Any sugestions would be very helpfull.

I assume your 500incher is Cadillac from the 70s. Maybe the best thing for this car would be a 74 NOVA clip, this gives you power disc brakes, rear mounted power steering box, and off-the-shelf parts availability for the road.

I would look at the 1976 Cad Seville front sub-frame. Samr as the Camaro but,larger discs & ball joints....Don

I'm working on a'46 Chevy panel right now. It has a 350/400T set-up. The guy that had it before me put S-10 arms, springs and stuff on the front but that is all comming off(hopefully this weekend) and a Mustang II kit is going on. The S-10 stuff just won't work, I tried getting a rack for it and that was a waste of time, none will fit. I thought about going to stock S-10 steering and found that by the time I got all the parts needed it was almost as much as the kit. When I get it changed over I'll send you some pics if you'd like.

I would go with the MustII setup. There are a couple of other potentials. You could use a Volare front clip and get the torsion bar set up. The width would be about right and is frequently used in narrower trucks. You also can use a front steer first generation Camaro/Chevelle from '67 to '69. These are a little wide but can be narrowed 3" with the Fatman narrowed A arms. Since you are already modifying the motor mounts, I think the Mustang would be the best choice and offers the most selection of brakes lug nut patterns etc.

i actually sub framed my sedan delivery with a 69 nova rear steer front clip...it is my understanding that the car might be too heavy for the mustang 2 brakes and suspension.

I had a 52 Chevy. It sat on a 79 Impala chasis and fit perfect. The 52 is a wide car and the mustang II just wont work. S10 is to narrow as well. I think you will have to go with a mid to full size clip on the front.
