Post Sway bar 4 mustang II IFS in 1954 F100

Does anyone know of a stock sway bar that will work in my application? I have a Total Cost Involved Mustang II IFS with stock A Arms. I was hoping I could yank one out of a vehicle in the junkyard.

Medi, why not use the origional sway bar? I'm not that familiar with the F 100 but if you have the kit under it, you should be able to install the sway bar. I have two vehicles with Mustang two kits and do not use a sway bar on the front, but one on the rear is a winner if you have leaf springs!!! Chassis Engineering makes a universal kit that would work for you.

MII stock sway bars have about a 4" drop in the middle of the straight span and this drop hangs down which on some applications is not very attractive. Several manufacturers sell bars that are straight, direct replacements. I suggest you run front and rear sway bars. On the rear, I always use the bar from a Ford Courier pickup. Get all the hardware off the pickup. Install a 2" X-member in your frame in front of the rear axle and weld a couple of 2" square brackets on the axle housing. Then bolt the bar in place with the brackets you got off the donor truck. May need to get shorter or longer bolts for the ends of the bar.

actually the stock Mustang II sway bar is about 5 inches narrower than the front end setup on the Truck. I have a feeling I will have to buy one off the shelf

Cool re: Sway bar 4 mustang II IFS in 1954 F100

It may sound strange but I took the advice of Brent at Fatmans and installed a rear sway bar instead of a front unit on my '45 Ford PU and it works great even pulling a trailer. He was able to rattle off the part number over the phone and have it in my hands 4 days later.

the TCI sway bar is a very neat thing that sits very close to, and in front of the crossmember and crosses over to interface with rear of the lower controllarm. i would have to say that buyng it dirrectly from TCI is your best bet. (there is pics of it on my buddy 100kg s photo album here on hotrodders, take a look for your self)
